"Born to die and you get to sit and watch yer T. V.
Set Believe the lies before yer eyes credit cards & apple pies
50 stars to blind yer eyes 13 stripes to hypnotize
Free thought is gone you'll never see yer just a pawn
You'll die tomorrow but today yer empty dreams just fade away
Evaporate, dissolve to hate while you survive and wait
Until a lifeless fate yer stupid lives just piddle on
You slave fer others and then your gone I just can't escape the lying
The moment we are born we're dying and it's such an ugly sight"
After a one month break we're back with new material. We were busy with personal things and most of all with all the hard changes around the world that shocked everybody and made our country crumble, I believe that right now most of the people had take a resistance position against politicians, authority and mass media. In front of all the corruption and individualism we usually feel frustration and helplessness but we're not the only ones in the world with that feeling and there's a big group of people in the same fight that we are. That's the reason we chose a band that talks about this in their music: Leftover Crack.

With the early dissolution of Choking Victim this great band was formed that sounded very similar in their early years, but they knew how to move on and create new material and excellent stuff. The band was born in New York back in the '98 in a social and political activist ambient, which the band members were part of it. They are known for beign straight and radicals with their music, Leftover Crack send direct messages to the capitalism, consumerism, technology and minority groups struggle. This band has made its way  outside the mainstream musical world to be one of the most influential bands in the underground world.
That's why Leftover Crack has made shows as headliners and sold out, and also shared stage with recognized bands as Poison Idea, Agnostic Front, Revolution Mother, Negative Approach, Dayglo Abortions, The Casualties, Trash Talk, NoFX, Buzzcocks, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and many more.
Leftover Crack musically goes mainly from Punk to Ska, but their versatility it's so wide that they add some Sludge and Grindcore touches to their music, so in that case you won't get bored. In the other hand, their lyrics tend to be directs and sometimes they play with black humor. The band is very radical on their music content, they talk about a society that burn fast as a cigarette, all of that thanks to the technology, bad comunication. egocentrism, individualism, power abuse, and consumerism. This is resume in the song "Born to die":
"Born to die and you get to sit and watch yer T. V.
Set Believe the lies before yer eyes credit cards & apple pies
50 stars to blind yer eyes 13 stripes to hypnotize
Free thought is gone you'll never see yer just a pawn
You'll die tomorrow but today yer empty dreams just fade away
Evaporate, dissolve to hate while you survive and wait
Until a lifeless fate yer stupid lives just piddle on
You slave fer others and then your gone I just can't escape the lying
The moment we are born we're dying and it's such an ugly sight"
Also Leftover Crack talks about drug addiction, depression, and about that youth that has no future and fights every day on the streets to survive, that youth that exist in every country and every society; they sing about the minorities that claims respect and are constantly on the battle lines fighting for their rights. Here isn't worth to close your eyes, we have to understand that part of the society and comprehend that the "American dream" doesn't exist and up there they are as fucked up as we are. That's the way I understand the message from this band.
Their discography are not too extensive, but they already made a name and they influenced other bands from Ska to Grindcore, because in social fights musical genres aren't different as long they have the same goal. You can check out their albums here www.discogs.com/es/artist/260759-Leftöver-Crack. We're back with the blog and more surprises to come so ¡Be aware!
